French Women Are Svelte, Not Skinny
June 17, 2009
"I was reading the article on France, la belle et la bete, of a few days ago. It referred to French women and their size. Specifically, the writer referred to French women as 'skinny,' as opposed to any other adjective to describe the French woman's svelte figure. Usually, it's fat women here in the States who refer to curvilinear women as being 'skinny' and non-curvaceous. The writer should simply have made a declarative statement about buying clothes in France and left out the disparaging innuendos."
