Danang is the largest city on Vietnam’s central coast. It’s not a tourist town but has everything an expat might need, including a 4,200-strong community of foreigners.

SE Asia Correspondents Wendy and David Justice have passed through Danang on previous trips to coastal Vietnam, but this time they decided to stop and stay awhile. Looking more closely, they found a city that’s clean, cosmopolitan, and progressive. Danang’s My Khe Beach was voted one of the six most attractive beaches in the world by Forbes Magazine, and UN Habitat Asia awarded Danang the title of “Cityscape Asia 2013,” honoring the various projects that have helped to make this city such a success.
