Rainelda
obtained
her law
degree

honors

Santa
Maria La
Antigua
University

Panama

Cornell

Ithaca,

Commercial

Maritime
Law.
Active
in
professional
and
business
associations,
Rainelda
has
served

Board of
Directors
of the
Maritime
Law
Association
of
Panama
and the
Panamanian
Association
of
Business
Executives.
Rainelda
practiced
in
London
for six
years as
founding
resident
attorney
for a
Panamanian
law
firm. Since 1989,
she has
had her
own
private
practice
specialized in
the
areas of
corporations
and
commercial
and
shipping
law of
Panama,
including
civil
and
administrative
matters
such as
taxes,
contracts,
real
estate
transactions,
immigration,
labor
permits,
etc.
Rainelda
acts as
legal
adviser
to local
and
foreign
companies
and to
the
Colon
Free
Trade
Zone
Merchants
Association
and
INTERED
Panama
(Internet
Service
Providers
Association).
Rainelda
has
participated
at
meetings
of the
Caribbean
Financial
Action
Task
Force in
Aruba
and
Trinidad
&
Tobago,
at Free
Trade
Area of
the
Americas
Conference
e-commerce
talks in
Miami,
and has
served
on
several
national
committees.
