Good point. Reading and researching get you only so far. To make a determination as to where in the world you might be happy, you've got to get on a plane.

Our calendar of in-country events for 2012 includes 10 conferences, including, yes, 3 in Panama; 1 in Medellin, Colombia; 2 in Belize; 1 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; 1 in Dublin, Ireland (this one focused not only on Ireland but on the best current options Europe-wide); 1 in Nicaragua; and 1 in the United States (location to be determined). We're considering adding additional events in Asia and perhaps Uruguay to focus on that country as well as its neighbor, Argentina.

This Is Your Final Call

Uncle Sam is working quietly, behind the scenes, to put obstacles in place that will make it more difficult for you to broaden your horizons overseas. And much more difficult for you to be in the driver's seat of your own future.

What other countries have done this in the past? Nazi Germany. Communist Russia. Apartheid South Africa...

I'm not an alarmist. I'm a pragmatist. And, as a pragmatic investor, I've seen the writing on the wall for some time. I've worked all these years and with an added sense of urgency more recently to take control of my own life, my own financial future, and, most important to me now, the future of my family.
