"Kathleen, do you coordinate trips for folks to see Panama in person, to get a feel for what life might be there? You seem to try to sell a lot of reference publications, but what about seeing the country?"

--Jim H., United States

Good point. Reading and researching get you only so far. To make a determination as to where in the world you might be happy, you've got to get on a plane.

Our calendar of in-country events for 2012 includes 10 conferences, including, yes, 3 in Panama; 1 in Medellin, Colombia; 2 in Belize; 1 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; 1 in Dublin, Ireland (this one focused not only on Ireland but on the best current options Europe-wide); 1 in Nicaragua; and 1 in the United States (location to be determined). We're considering adding additional events in Asia and perhaps Uruguay to focus on that country as well as its neighbor, Argentina.

Not all dates have been finalized yet, but you can read more here.

This Is Your Final Call

Uncle Sam is working quietly, behind the scenes, to put obstacles in place that will make it more difficult for you to broaden your horizons overseas. And much more difficult for you to be in the driver's seat of your own future.

It's not just the banking arena that's under threat.

In 2008, changes to the Veterans Act allowed for an "exit tax" on U.S. citizens who choose to leave the country and end their citizenship.

What other countries have done this in the past? Nazi Germany. Communist Russia. Apartheid South Africa...

This is your civil liberty at stake. How long before you just won't be able to get your assets out of the States?

I'm not an alarmist. I'm a pragmatist. And, as a pragmatic investor, I've seen the writing on the wall for some time. I've worked all these years and with an added sense of urgency more recently to take control of my own life, my own financial future, and, most important to me now, the future of my family.

Now I'd like to offer you a chance to do the same.

Readers Say

"The level of experience, knowledge, and competence is top-shelf. Primarily, I appreciated the sincere and honest approach of the organizers and all the presenters, as well as the obvious desire to give participants complete, accurate, timely, and appropriate information and to answer questions thoroughly."

Andrew F., United States
"I particularly appreciated your information today about the joys (?) of international rental property. What I admire is your honest, tell-it-like-it-is approach. A lot of people have been hurt by nothing but glowing reports about offshore living from various sources. Your honest, direct approach is a real service."

— Arlean K., United States
