"Kathleen, your editor wrote about opening a bank account in China recently. I'd add that you could also open a bank account in Hong Kong and be subject to no such daily limitations as your writer referenced."

--Nelson C., United States

When I was in China, I traveled with a friend who had an account in Hong Kong. He said there were no problems changing from yuan to euro. I mentioned that Hong Kong deal in my article. But I had no idea Hong Kong would convert euros or dollars to yuan with no daily limits. That's good news. When I was in China, I traveled with a friend who had an account in Hong Kong. "Kathleen, I want the gentleman who wrote in to ask about how he could connect with a nice lady interested in living overseas to know that here in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, there are so many single women his age and many easy ways to meet them! The single women outnumber the single men. You can meet them through the organic farmers market, participating in social groups, or volunteering for a few of the numerous charities that exist. There is even a newcomers group.

"It is so much easier to meet people here than in the States. He might want to consider starting somewhere like San Miguel where there is an established expat community. Good luck!"
