Gozo is an extremely picturesque little rock in the middle of the Mediterranean where you can enjoy beautiful beaches with turquoise waters, inexpensive property, and an interesting local culture, all steeped in a rich historical ambiance…
Gozo is a steppingstone between North Africa and Southern Europe… Its first known inhabitants arrived in 5000 B.C., and since then, it’s been invaded by everyone from the Phoenicians to the Arabs, the French to the Brits.
Its landscape is renowned for its cacti-spotted hills and peaceful, desert scenery… In fact, it’s so distinctive, it’s often featured in television and film. If you’ve ever seen “The Count of Monte Cristo,” “Game of Thrones,” or “By the Sea,” then you’ve already laid eyes on Gozo’s landscape.
If you’re after the party scene or enjoy spending time at the mall, Gozo isn’t for you. The island is rustic, with more outdoor diversion than indoor. The local culture is vibrant, with year-round activities, and the island is safe.SKU: OHR-GOZO-MALTA

The Azuero Peninsula: Western Azuero, Panama
This Azuero issue covers the peninsula’s more-rugged corner, the western side. Western Azuero is known for farming, fishing, surfing, and beaches… and let’s not forget about the stunningly beautiful sunsets.
Its undeveloped, western-facing beaches provide unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean…
The western side of Azuero was previously only known to cattle ranchers and wealthy farmers… Then surfers came. They managed to keep the great waves a secret, but word eventually got out. Now, international surfing championships are held here.
In this area you’re surrounded by nature, pure and raw… Capuchin and howler monkeys call from the trees, sea turtles lay their eggs along the beaches, and, in season, dolphins and whales swim and play offshore.
Azuero could be right for you. You’ll have to check it out in person to know for sure…SKU: PSR-WESTERN-AZUERO

Mazatlán, Mexico | Overseas Haven Report
Mazatlán offers the best beachfront lifestyle you’ll find in Mexico… maybe the best you’ll find anywhere.
It boasts over 10 miles of sandy beaches, which vary from bustling and energetic stretches conveniently near town, to sections of isolated shoreline where you can get away from it all. The beaches are accessible and can be enjoyed from the wide, new boardwalk, which is 5 miles long.
Best of all, both the beach and colonial lifestyles offer countless options for fine dining, quiet coffee shops, energetic and friendly bars… as well as a dynamic and active real estate market.
You can “go local”… or not. Resort areas aside, Mazatlán is a “real” city of almost a half-million people. You can choose to be part of the American and Canadian community, speak mostly English, and ease your way into Mazatlán, aided by people who’ve come before you. Or you can live in an authentic Mexican environment, speak mostly Spanish, enjoy a lower cost of living, and immerse yourself in Mexico’s charming culture.
If you’d enjoy all of this… all within an easy distance from the States and Canada, then Mazatlán could well be right for you.SKU: OHR-MAZATLAN-MEXICO

Panama, Panama Special Reports
Many people only know Aguadulce as that annoying little town along the Pan-American Highway where traffic becomes congested… And it’s true—but it’s a misconception that traffic is all there is to this town. The other misconception is that Aguadulce’s only attraction is the Spanish-colonial architecture. There’s so much more…
Aguadulce’s history is mysterious… It was known as “la tierra de la sal y el azúcar” (the land of salt and sugar) during the late 18th century and was baptized as San Juan Bautista de Aguadulce around the same time.
The Aguadulceña community takes great pride in their cultural history and its importance to the country. The small town preserves several cultural landmarks that the now Ministry of Culture proclaimed important to Panama’s national heritage in 2017…
One is the Museum of Salt and Sugar, with its colonial architecture and canary yellow façade. For a nominal fee, you can look at pre-Colombian artifacts, historical documents, photographs, as well as the origins of the sugar industry. Another iconic building is the Eduardo Pedreschi Municipal Palace. Built in 1925, it’s named after the Italian architect who designed many of the important buildings in the city.
Currently, Aguadulce is restoring, improving, and repairing important city structures, with many visible renovation projects like Parque 19 de Octubre, directly across the street from the historic San Juan Bautista Church.
If you enjoy fresh air and sunshine (with some rain mixed in), Aguadulce is a great place to live, with an abundance of outdoor activities to do here… limited only by your imagination and abilities.SKU: PSR-AGUADULCE
