I drew the short straw this morning…
My husband Dara dibbed the only desk in the house. He has a few hours of conference calls ahead.
Our four kids stole the kitchen table. They’re filling out the worksheets their teachers sent home last week.
So here I am writing to you from the bedroom… perched on a footstool, with my laptop on the bed.
Needs must.
We’ll take a break later and get out for a walk before darkness falls.
This should keep our spirits up… and prevent my patience running thin. (The “school lunches” I prepared at 8 a.m. were eaten straight after breakfast. And it seems soccer practice has just started in the kitchen below.)
How’s it going in your corner of the world?
I hope you’re able to keep up some of your favorite hobbies… and take in
a little fresh air and sunshine.
We’re all going to get through this. And, while it may get worse before it gets better (the threat of lockdown looms here in Ireland), we need to look after ourselves and look out for each other…
None of us can travel right now. But that doesn’t mean we need to drop all contact with the connections we’ve made or put our plans on hold…
My friends and I here at Live and Invest Overseas are working to keep the dream of a brighter future alive… and to keep everyone in touch… all through our lifeline of technology…
Before this virus shook the world, we’d been preparing to launch a virtual meeting place for ourOverseas Living Lettersubscribers. A place where readers could come together and ask questions from our experts… tap into exclusive webinars… and make contact with fellow readers on a similar journey…
But, given the current situation we find ourselves in, we’ve decided to all stick together and—for the coming weeks—extend access to thisOverseas Living Clubhouseto every reader… you included… at no extra cost.
I’ve just joined this morning… and am delighted to see our Clubhouse is growing fast.
Over the coming days and weeks, we’ll be sharing photos and updates from our different corners of the world… answering your questions… and passing on tips to help keep you focused on your plans for a big adventure…
Above all, we look forward to hearing what you have to share. The Clubhouse is open and ready for you to tell us your own story… raise your concerns… ask your questions… post your own pictures and videos… and make new friends…
Stay safe and well… and, as soon as you can, grab a coffee, and join us over in the relaxed setting ofthe Overseas Living Clubhouse.
