“The conference is really valuable, but it is so cold here,” writes daughter Kaitlin, in the UK this week with Lief, attending the AngloInfo franchisee meetings. “I don’t know how anyone can live here! I mean, I know that we lived in Ireland all those years, but I guess I’d forgotten about the weather. The rain and the wind…ugh!

“We went to a museum in Oxford yesterday, a great kind of mini-Met. That’s the only cultural thing we’ve had time for, though we did find a good Italian place the other night and I got to have my ‘British Italian food’ fix–lasagna with ‘the gooey white stuff,’ as Lief describes it.

“Enjoying the meetings but looking forward to getting home to Panama and the sunshine.”
