This is a first. Sometimes readers criticize our budgets as overly conservative. This is the first time I recall a reader suggesting that our budgets are inflated.
It makes the point we try to remind you about often: Your cost of living anywhere is largely controllable and definitely personal. Your cost of living won’t be the same as mine or anyone else’s.
I’m glad to know this reader’s expenses in the Philippines and Mexico are less than our budgets indicate.
