Your plan sounds great to me. Buy the place you eventually intend to retire to at today’s prices.
As you say, bank financing is not an option for foreign buyers in Nicaragua. I’d recommend seeking out developers offering direct financing. Some of the developer presenters who participated in last week’s Live and Invest in Nicaragua Conference, for example, offer financing for their products.
One very good option in this context if you’re interested in a beachfront lifestyle is Gran Pacifica, a private community being developed on Nicaragua’s Pacific coast about an hour from Managua.
