“My husband and I have been reading information on all the locations you talk about, but my one hang-up is medical insurance for me. I had stage one breast cancer a year ago. Is there any medical insurance policy that would cover me?”
—Linda M. United States
Yes, it’s a tricky situation. Most companies won’t cover pre-existing conditions, but some will give coverage and simply exclude the pre-existing condition.
BUPA will sometimes give coverage after an exemption period. For example, they may cover your condition after two years without relapse. Best thing is to speak with an agent who can present your case to the company’s underwriters to see what they can do.
Our personal contact in Bupa is Gonzalo de la Guardia: email@example.com. He can help with more of your questions.
Best of luck!
