Amusement Park Announced For Panama

It is rumored that Panama is in line for a major American amusement park chain to open in the country.

Jesus Sierra, Panama’s tourism minister, told Panama News Agency that the name of the company cannot be revealed. The minister did note that the company is an important and experienced name in the industry. The operating company, location, and opening date are set to be released in the future.

Rumors are swirling that the unnamed company is Disney. In 2009, Disney planned to build an amusement park near Coronado; however, plans were nixed when residents in the area protested that the amusement park would bring with it traffic problems.
