Denis Foynes – In a marketing hotspot like Tokyo, billboards and flyers just don’t cut it anymore when it comes to getting people’s attention.
But what other space could be rented? Well, how about women’s thighs? Yes, young women are renting out their legs to advertisers.
The man behind this bizarre idea explains, “It is the perfect place for an advertisement as thighs are easy to look for men and girls are comfortable with exposing them.”
Participants, who must be over 18, are recommended to wear miniskirts and long socks to draw attention to the campaigns. Strangely, they also must have at least 20 people on a social network such as Facebook or Twitter.
More than 3,000 women registered to give up their skin to become ‘billboards.’ So far the band Green Day and the DVD release of the movie “Ted” have been displayed on this area of the body.
One participant explained, “I don’t mind putting one on my thigh or belly, as long as I am not embarrassed then what is the problem?”
