Saudi Prince Takes Over Disneyland

Denis Foynes – Prince Fahd al-Saud of Saudi Arabia is reported to have spent US$19.5 million booking out certain areas of Euro Disney Paris from May 22-24 for 60 of his guests to celebrate his completion of his degree.

The event’s festivities were comprised of specially made events involving “rare Disney characters.”

Euro Disney states it frequently organizes private events for businesses or people with the cash.

Exceptional security was enacted for the prince as he is one of the resort’s top customers, explained Euro Disney.

The famous theme park managed to attract 16 million guests last year. Despite this, Euro Disney has failed to turn over a profit since it opened in 1992.

In 2012, the park lost 120.9 million euros in the first half of the year compared to a loss of 99.5 million euros in the same financial period in 2011.
