According to the World Health Organization, 500 million people worldwide, or 1 out of every 10 people, are obese. Health experts say it is not surprising that people across the globe are increasingly becoming overweight.

They blame urbanization and the influx of Western ways of life; including fast food choices, little exercise, and stressful jobs.

Here are the top 10 most obese countries in the developed world

8. Ireland: Obesity rate: 23%
