Two weeks ago, Live and Invest Overseas News revealed that three men from the United Arab Emirates have been deported from Saudi Arabia for being “too handsome.”
The representatives from the United Arab Emirates were in attendance at the Jenadrivah Heritage & Culture Festival in Riyadh when the religious police suddenly stormed the area and arrested the men.
A festival official said, “the three Emiratis were taken out on the grounds they are too handsome and that the Commission [for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vices] members feared female visitors could fall for them,” the local daily paper Elaph reported.
Omar Borkan Al Gala, a poet, actor, and photographer from Dubai, is one third of the trio that was deported by Saudi authorities.
His Facebook page contains posts such as, “The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides.” However, his admirers claim he can do no wrong. “Killing me softly with these eyes,” one posted.
He certainly has found fame.
