Earn 10% Annually From This 5-Star Castle Hotel In Scotland

Taymouth Castle, located near Perth, on over 500 acres of Scottish highlands, has been restored to an original Victorian gothic style. The developer, who has invested US$40 million on restorations, used expert craftsmen in consultation with the governmental agency responsible for safeguarding the history of Scotland, in order to maintain the historical integrity and return the castle to its original greatness.

The castle, which, in the 19th century, was expanded on a lavish scale by the Campbells of Breadalbane, a branch of the powerful Scottish House of Campbell with royal ties, is surrounded by rich historical sites, mountainous scenery, and is just a stones-throw from Loch Tay. Even more, Queen Victoria and her husband, Prince Albert, spent their honeymoon in this very castle in 1842.
A Hotel Concept That Combines Royal History With A Truly Scottish Experience

The developer plans to develop the castle into five-star luxury hotel, spa, and golf resort that is perfect for family getaways or group retreats. Further, with its premier location and breathtaking views the castle will be ideal wedding venue. Aside from several local activities in like white water rafting, 4x4 off-roading, whiskey distillery tours, or visiting the Highland Wildlife Park, the developer is focused on providing guests with plenty of on-site activities.
Some of the planned hotel facilities include:

  • Classic 18-hole championship length golf course fully restored by Bruce Weller designs and Scotland’s top-ranked golf pro Stephen Gallagher.
  • State-of-the-art family spa which will be serve as one of the resort´s centerpieces.
  • A rural spa integrated with a natural stream on the hotel´s stunning grounds.
  • An equestrian center where guests can take in over 500 acres by horseback.
  • A shooting range that will feature a host of shooting activities with an on-site expert for classes.
  • Four restaurants, including a unique “Smokehouse Restaurant” and a “Michelin Star” level restaurant in the main castle for fine dining.

Even more, guests can enjoy a day of fishing on the longest river in Scotland, the River Tay, which is known for some of the best salmon fishing in the world.

Two Options To Invest And Earn Rental Cash Flow From This Castle Hotel

Investors have two options for how to invest in the castle hotel. You can purchase fractional unit ownership for £30,000 (currently the exchange rate is £1=US$1.48, so a little less than US$45,000). The other option is to purchase full unit ownership for £390,000. Both investment levels include the cost of taxes and furnishings.

The fractional and full-purchase options come with rental returns of 10% less ownership costs in years 1 and 2. Projected returns in year 3 and onward are expected to be significantly higher as the hotel will be fully operational. Owners will enjoy a 50% split of the nightly room rates based on their level of ownership. Additionally, rental returns will be paid from a third-party escrow account. Unit owners will be responsible for annual ownership costs including maintenance fees, insurance, council taxes, and administrative fees.

Owners will be able to use their units for 4 weeks per 1/13th fraction and there is unlimited usage for full unit ownerships. After owners book any usage then the remaining weeks are evenly allocated on the rest of the year and owners receive income from their allocated weeks.

There are only 42 apartment units being offered which are all housed in the East Wing of the castle. East Wing will have its own separate title. The developer plans to complete the first 8 apartments in under 4 months and all 42 apartments to be completed within a year.
