As a popular tourist destination, the cost of living in Cabo is a bit higher than other regions of Mexico.
Nevertheless, as an expat, the cost of living will still be considerably lower than back home––taking into consideration, of course, the lifestyle you choose.
If you buy imported foods and dine at fine international restaurants, you will undoubtably not find much of a difference.
On the other hand, if you decide to consume local goods and enjoy the local cuisine, you’ll not only save a penny or two, but you’ll be gaining an authentic local experience.
Above all, Mexico remains a top destination among Canadians and Americans for both tourism and retirement. Thanks to restricted travel and an expanding middle class, Mexico is enjoying good growth in the local tourism market in 2021.
All that combines to make Mexico a top choice for a property rental investment.

As mentioned before, Cabo’s popularity makes it more expensive than other regions in Mexico. However, there are options.
The location you look at will determine the price range.
The further the property is from the oceanfront and the town center, the more affordable it’ll be––but not necessarily less attractive.
As always, when considering a real estate purchase overseas, consult an experienced local realtor and lawyer.
As for health care, Cabo San Lucas has attracted several highly trained health care professionals. You will find multiple walk-in clinics and hospitals here.

Cabo San Lucas is perched at the southernmost point of the Baja California Sur peninsula. And it is renowned not only for its desert scenery and beaches but also as a globally recognized hotspot. It’s famously dubbed the Marlin Capital and is home to the iconic Arch, where the Sea of Cortez converges with the Pacific Ocean.
The nightlife in Downtown Cabo San Lucas and the Cabo Marina is vibrant and bustling, making them popular spots that are typically regarded as safe. However, as with any place common sense is a must.
