The French refer to this time of year as la rentrée.
July and August all France goes en vacance. Then, early September, it’s back to work in earnest.
Summer is over. The new school year is afoot. Early autumn is in the air.
Everyone begins looking ahead to the holidays… and the approaching New Year.
I’m not in Paris, but I’m embracing the season of la rentrée… regrouping and making plans.
In that spirit, Lief and I sat down this week to pin down our schedule through the end of the year and early 2026.
Through late October you’ll find us here in Panama.
I write today from Los Islotes. Next month we’ll be back in Panama City, where, Wednesday through Friday, Oct. 15-17, Lief will host his Offshore Wealth Summit.
Right now more than ever we all could benefit from the information and recommendations that will be shared by Lief and his team in the room over the three days of this global Plan B event.
You know Lief.
Joining him on stage for these important conversations will be…
- Wealth Planning Pro Carl H. Linder, one of the world’s leading authorities on offshore wealth planning…
- Trust & Estate Pro Craig S. Redler, experienced trust and estate attorney with a long track record managing offshore trusts and structuring international bank accounts for high-net-worth clients…
- Asset Protection Pro Josh Bennett, seasoned asset protection attorney with nearly 30 years’ experience in international and domestic asset preservation strategies…
- Financial Planning Pro Jamie Vrijhof-Droese, based in Switzerland… Jamie is the consummate Swiss private banker…
- Offshore Structures Pro David Payne with more than two decades of experience in corporate, fiduciary, trust, financial, and alternative financial services…
- Crypto Pro James Coughlan, expert at leveraging blockchain technology for financial innovation…
- International Banking Pro Elden Edward, global banking specialist based in Saint Lucia…
- Foreign Exchange Pro Iva Slavtcheva, who can help you move your money where you need it to be without losing a dollar more than you should to currency exchange or transfer fees…
- Cyber Security Pro Zafar Khan who will show you how to avoid online scams and how to protect your privacy, your identify, and your wealth…
Plus attorneys and tax and residency experts from the world’s best places to diversify your life and your portfolio.
I’ll be there, too. Indeed, this will be your final chance this year to meet and speak with Lief and me in person and one-on-one.
You need a back-up plan. This is your chance to make one with guidance and support from an A-list of global diversification pros.
Following that final in-person conference of the year, Lief and I will reposition to Paris in time for the holidays with our children and grandchildren.
As our Irish friends would put it, that’ll be 2025 done and dusted.
Celebrating The Fruit Of The Vine In Mendoza
Looking further ahead, our first big adventure of New Year 2026 will be an excursion way down south at the bottom of the world.
We’ll journey to Argentina to rediscover the Paris of Latin America (Buenos Aires) then continue on to Mendoza in time for the annual grape harvest.
It’s an experience we’ve tried to fit into our schedules for years. Finally, 2026 is the chance.
The grape harvest is quite an event in this part of the world, and we’ll have a front-row seat. In fact, we’ll be in residence at a friend’s vineyard, where Lief and I are invested.
Two years ago, our La Morada Vineyard hosted a harvest festival that has become the talk of the Argentine wine world. The whole of the Uco Valley transforms into a party for the now annual La Morada Food & Wine Fest.
This year’s celebration of the fruit of the vine in Los Chacayes included more than 100 wineries with hundreds of labels, 12 restaurants, including some with Michelin stars, and live music.
The setting is dramatic—La Morada Lodge with the Andes behind and the vineyards all around as far as you can see to the horizon—and the program straightforward. You pay your entry fee and, in return, are given a glass. Then you are free to try all the wines from the more than 100 wineries on hand.
Similarly, you can buy a token then go on a tour of the gourmet world… without leaving the Uco Valley.
For wine-lovers like us, it’s a dream come true.
This year’s event was attended by 1,300 people. Next year, we intend to be among them… and we’re inviting our Private Network members to join us. If you’re a Private Network member, watch your in-box for details.
Until next time,
